PRESENTER GUIDELINES

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

​

If your abstract is accepted as an oral presentation you will have 15 minutes to present followed by 3-4 minutes for discussion and questions - 20 mins in total for each presentation.

 

AV Tips for Oral Presentations:​

​

  • Each room is equipped with a laptop, data projector, presenter screen and lectern microphone.

  • Please note there are no 'clickers' or 'pointers' supplied.

  • Please ensure any video or audio files embedded in your presentation are also brought with you as separate files

  • Both Mac and PC formats will be fine

  • Screens are 16:9 ratio

  • Please upload your presentation on arrival at the conference venue, at least 2 sessions prior to your presentation time

  • Please bring a backup copy of your presentation with you in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

​

  • If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you will be required to print a poster. 

  • Posters should be A0 portrait layout (1189mm high x 841mm wide). 

  • The poster display boards are Velcro-compatible and Velcro fixers will be provided to all poster presenters at the conference.

  • Conference attendees will be able to contact each other and ask questions of both poster and oral presenters via the conference app.

LIGHTNING TALKS​

​

  • If your presentation is accepted as a Lightning talk you will have up to 5 minutes to present, with no questions. 

  • ​Presenters can use no slides at all, or as many presentation slides as they deem necessary, however the 5 min time limit will be strictly adhered to.

  • Lightning talks should concentrate on a specific idea, problem, or key takeaway. 

  • The goal is to keep it short, hit a key message, engage the audience and encourage further discussion after the session.

CONDITIONS OF PRESENTATION

​

  • Late submissions will not be accepted.  Abstracts Close 15 August 2025

  • A condition of acceptance is that one author must present in person at the conference.

  • The presenting author will be required to register for the Conference to ensure their abstract is included in the final programme.

  • Deadline for presenting author registration is 3 October 2025 (also the date EB discounts end). Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to authors or presenters.

  • It is the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure the accuracy of the content, spelling, grammar and formatting of the abstract, as it will be published as it is submitted.

  • By submitting an abstract, you also grant the Organising Committee permission to publish the abstract in the conference proceedings in hard copy and/or electronic format.
